Marketing tip #2 of 12: Build a Client Email List

Here’s my tip #2 out of 12 for online marketing.
Build a client email list!  
I know, I know you’ve heard this over and over again from people like me but I can tell you it’s true!  Just look at the successful people in your industry and I bet they have a list of clients both past and present they market to.
Email lists may seem like “old school” but how many of us look through our email each day?  ALL of us.  I KNOW you do.  So why do we think this form of communication is dead?  The difference is it has become more important at making each and every email title and beginning text compelling to the reader.
If writing isn’t your thing, hire someone to do this.  There are plenty of services out there to help you at a minimal cost.  Depending on your type of business, even 1 sale per month coming from email marketing could change your bottom line, right?
Remember, most of the time this list is of people who gave you permission to market to them.  As long as you have an unsubscribe link at the bottom of your email, you can send as many messages as you like.  They can opt out.
It’s time to quit being afraid to tell people what you do and how you can help them.  In the sea of advertising and marketing out there, you have to stay in front of your customers or clients.  If you don’t, you risk them jumping ship.
